From an early age, I was immersed in Franco-German exchanges, and I developed a taste for foreign languages. This
interest was reinforced while I was at school, to such an extent that multilingualism was obviously going to be an essential part of my future worklife.
A solid university education in German
and then a further specialization in translation and interpreting were to clarify and shape my
future career. I was naturally drawn towards the profession due both to the in-depth knowledge of foreign languages and for the subtle mixture of accuracy and finesse in French required.
I have been a freelance translator since 2002 and I update and improve my skills regularly by following relevant training courses in my
specialized fields. However, undoubtedly the best ongoing training remains the discussion which takes place with clients in order to provide a tailor-made translation for them – team work is the
key to a good translation!
